CAS(E) this Sketch #272

I am not sure if I have been in this sketch challenge before and it was perfect for the card that I have created.

I made this card a couple of months ago to teach my girls in class and haven't had the
chance to blog it.

It is so pretty I gave it to my mum this month for her birthday!
She loved it!

It is a bit of a fancy fold card called a centre explosion card.
These measurements are adapted to fit in a C6 size envelope and if you look closely to the background on the front panel of the card, you will see a slight impression from the leaves in the Eclectic Impressions Die.

  • Stamps: Oh So Eclectic and sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday
  • Ink:  Peekaboo Peach, Emerald Envy & Berry Burst & Fresh Fig
  • Card: Whisper White, Fresh Fig, Emerald Envy & Naturally Eclectic DSP
  • Tools: Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies with the Bigshot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon

Colour INKspiration 34 #CI34

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has nearly 1900 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

You have hopped on over from the ever so creative and amazing Bronwyn

I immediately had an idea for this card and out came the new set Sea of Textures!

This I have previously called a window box card which is fitting but I have since found out it is called a Diorama card.

I have just realised I didn't put a sentiment on it... oh well looks like if I use it for something I can add it later... I think I was too excited with my idea to even worry about it.

The Just Add Colour DSP panel at the back just finished this card off and it matched in with the underwater theme perfectly.

  • Stamps: Sea of Textures
  • Ink: Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight
  • Card: Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Basic Grey, Calypso Coral, Whisper White and Just Add Colour DSP.
  • Tools: Under the Sea & Layering Ovals Framelits Dies & Seaside Embossing Folder with the bigshot, Daffodil Delight light and dark, Calypso Coral Light and Dark, Pool Party Light and dark and Smokey Slate Stampin' Write markers.

Next up is the amazing Jacque who I would just like to say a massive congratulations on reaching the first 1 Million dollar sales award in the South Pacific.
Well done!! x

What Will You Stamp 169? #WWYS169

What Will you Stamp Challenge number 169.
I hope that you like what I can come up with for these awesome challenges.
I hope more of you join in with these great stampset challenges as they are fun!

Here is the card I made using a couple of new colours
(well two returning in colours and one brand new colour)

I am loving the new purples that we are getting very soon!

I like the effect of a window panel style card.
(I have no idea what they are called so I just make it up although there is a proper name for most of the card fancy fold styles.)

Repeating the smaller stamps within a stampset makes for an effective background when there is no current DSP that will match it.
The bonus of this is you can pick any colour your heart so desires!

  • Stamps: Bubble Over
  • Ink:  Gorgeous Grape, Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana
  • Card: Whisper White, Gorgeous Grape and clear Acetate sheet.
  • Tools: Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies with the Big Shot
  • Embellishments: Dimensionals, wink of stella & clear Epoxy stickers

Kelly's Stamping Friends - Birthday Blog Hop

Happy Birthday to my gorgeous friend Kelly Kent!
If I had never taken up this hobby I would never have met her! I'm so glad that I have found great friends with Stampin' Up! (I just wish we all lived closer for more crafty times together)

You have hopped on over from the best hugger in Stampin' Up! that I have ever met, the lovely Monique Fielder

I made this card for Kelly (hopefully she has it before the hop!)

The idea came from two demo friends who made me a gorgeous coffee tag card and posted it to me as I couldn't make onstage last November over east.
Thankyou Vicki McBride and Sue Arthur you two are just gorgeous x

I made this card with one whole sheet of cardstock for the base and matted each panel with cardstock and DSP. I think the Share What You Love Specialty DSP in the middle of the card was gorgeous enough without adding any more stamping!

I really hope Kelly loves her card and has an amazing birthday.

  • Stamps: Love What You Do, (Kelly's name was the Make a difference stampset) and sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet
  • Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Stayz On and Old Olive
  • Card: Whisper White, Berry Burst, Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Share What You Love Specialty DSP
  • Tools: Stitched Circles Framelits & Petals and More Thinlits with the big shot
  • Embelishments:  Dimensionals, White Bakers Twine, Ruffled Berry Burst Ribbon, Pearlized Doily, Share What You Love pearls and wink of stella

TGIF Challenge 158 #TGIF158

It has been an incredibly long time since I have joined in this great challenge page and I saw it was a colour challenge this week and these are awesome!

One of my valued customers (and friends) had a very special birthday this week.
I couldn't resist making her a pop up slider card.
I haven't made one of these in about a year so it was the perfect opportunity.

Here it is closed

and opened right up to see the sentiments inside the card.
Since it is only 3 colours the flowers have been second generation stamped (stamped off) for the lighter shade of the berry burst.
I used a sponge dauber to do the numbers.

  • Stamps: Number of Years & Eclectic Expressions
  • Ink:  Memento, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist
  • Card: Whisper White, Basic Black, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist & Petal Passion DSP
  • Tools: Eclectic Layers Thinlits & Stitched Framelits with the Bigshot as well as the Scalloped tag topper & Classic Label Punches
  • Embellishments:  Dimensionals, Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon & Glitter Enamel Dots
  • #TGIF158
