Colour INKspiration 33 #CI33

What is Colour INKspiraton? – a Facebook based bi-monthly colour challenge.
Anyone with Facebook can join in.  You don’t need a blog and you don’t need to be a demonstrator.
I have joined in these challenges and love them as Colour challenges for me are actually a real challenge.
Click here to join the Facebook page which now has over 1850 members and see what it’s all about.

Here’s some of the basic details about the challenge –
The Colour INKspiration Crew! consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop.
Then you have a 12 day period to upload your own creations using the colours provided.
If you have a blog, feel free to link back to it, but all entries will be via Facebook.  The design team will select 5 projects to be ‘design team picks’ and then the Facebook group will select an overall winner from this shortlist.

How stunning was Nikki's card?
I love Lift Me Up.

Pretty pic for inspiration but challenging colours for me!
I have rarely used Always Artichoke over the 7 and 1/2 years I have been a demonstrator. Funnily the times I have used it has been the past few months and it was starting to grow on me..... now it is retiring... oh well there are some more amazing colours coming and returning colours!

These colours were perfect for a male style of card.
I grabbed the awesome One Wild Ride set which hasn't seen ink for a while and made an easel card. Again I haven't made one of these for a while either.
It is nice to recycle folds and card types.

Five colours together is a real challenge and to get the balance right is just as hard.

I did do a bit of fussy cutting in this card which I find very therapeutic.
(plus I don't own all the framelits that are in the catalogue)

  • Stamps: One Wild Ride
  • Ink: Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke & Marina Mist
  • Card: Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Marina Mist and Sahara Sand
  • Tools: Layering Oval Framelits with the bigshot and Best Badge & Decorative Ribbon Border Punches
  • Embelishments:  Dimensionals and Enamel Shapes

  1. The stripes of cardstock add so much interest - I love this idea - especially for a male card!! This stamp set works perfectly with an easel card - just awesome.
